Speaking with VnExpress, Cocoon's representative noted that France is a major cosmetics market with one of the world's most stringent regulatory systems. According to Statista, a German statistical data provider, the French cosmetics industry's annual market size reaches approximately 13-14 billion USD, positioning it among Europe's leaders. France also holds the top 1 global position in cosmetics exports, with annual revenues reaching tens of billions of USD.
Beyond its size, France serves as a crucial gateway for brands to access all of Europe. Common EU regulations stipulate that cosmetics must meet a series of criteria to be circulated: production must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP); registration on the Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP); compliance with IFRA fragrance regulations; and ingredient disclosure according to International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI) and legal requirements.

Reports from CBI and Statista indicate that European consumers, particularly in France, prioritize natural, environmentally friendly, and cruelty-free products. The vegan and "clean beauty" cosmetics segments have experienced strong growth in recent years, creating opportunities for brands focused on sustainable development.
Pham Minh Dung, Cocoon's Sales and Marketing Director, stated that the brand's presence in France and other EU countries is not merely market expansion. It also marks a special milestone for a Vietnamese-researched and -produced vegan cosmetic brand to enter a vital global beauty hub.
From the partner's perspective, Nguyen Ngoc Tram, Chief Operating Officer of Orien Trade, acknowledged the numerous demands and challenges the French and broader European markets pose for Vietnamese brands. However, she and her partners believe Cocoon will overcome these obstacles due to its distinct identity: unique Vietnamese ingredients, clear vegan cosmetic standards, and high brand-building benchmarks.
"We believe Cocoon will soon appear on the luxurious streets of Paris, Milan, and many other European cities, writing a beautiful chapter in the story of Vietnamese brands conquering international markets," said Ms. Ngoc Tram.

As part of its European debut activities, Cocoon will open an additional product experience space (pop-up store) in Paris, France. It is scheduled to open from 2/4 and will run for two weeks. According to the company representative, this trial aims to engage directly with local consumers and gather their feedback.
"This is our first pop-up store in Europe. It will not only introduce the story of gentle, effective beauty from our indigenous agricultural products but also bring the essence of a simple Vietnam, helping international friends better understand Vietnamese culture and people," Pham Minh Dung added.
