19 motorboats destroyed in overnight fire in Quang Ninh

An early morning fire at Phuc Tien fishing port in Dam Ha ward destroyed 19 motorboats. Authorities are investigating the cause.

According to the People's Committee of Dam Ha Commune, the fire erupted around 3:37 AM on 1/8 at the Phuc Tien fishing port.

Dam Ha Commune authorities immediately mobilized police, military, local security forces, and residents to coordinate firefighting, rescue, and scene protection efforts.

The Quang Ninh Provincial Police's Firefighting and Rescue Team, Area 7, swiftly deployed personnel and equipment to assist in extinguishing the blaze.

After over one hour of containment efforts, the fire was completely extinguished by approximately 4:45 AM the same day.

The fire caused no human casualties but destroyed 19 motorboats. This included 17 vessels belonging to local residents and two official boats from the Commune Police and the Construction, Agriculture, and Environment Department of Dam Ha Commune. Estimated damages are nearly 2.6 billion VND.

The People's Committee of Dam Ha Commune is currently coordinating with relevant authorities to investigate the fire's cause and handle the matter according to regulations.
