The driver and several bystanders attempted to extinguish the fire, which started at the front of the bus, using fire extinguishers. However, their efforts were unsuccessful, and they called for assistance. The Hanoi Fire and Rescue Police Department dispatched two fire trucks to the scene.
By the time firefighters arrived, the fire had spread throughout the entire vehicle. After about 10 minutes, the firefighters largely extinguished the blaze. While there were no casualties, the bus was completely destroyed, leaving only the charred frame. The bus was empty at the time of the incident.
