Around 6:30 p.m., five vehicles, including 4-seater and 7-seater cars, were involved in a chain-reaction collision on Nhat Tan Bridge, heading towards Noi Bai International Airport. The impact left the vehicles entangled, blocking two lanes of traffic.
At least two cars sustained heavy damage to their front and rear, with airbags deployed. While there were no human casualties, the incident caused significant traffic congestion stretching from Nhat Tan Bridge to the start of Vo Chi Cong Street.

Upon receiving the report, Traffic Police Team No. 2 of the Hanoi Police Department's Traffic Police Division dispatched officers to the scene to direct traffic and manage the incident.
Driver Mai Van Tung, who was stuck in traffic for hours, reported that vehicles had barely moved a few hundred meters in about one hour. He advised commuters to reconsider their routes if traveling through the area.
By 9 p.m., the accident scene had not been fully cleared.
