At around 0h30 on 7/2, passenger train SE2, traveling northbound, struck an individual walking on the tracks in Tan Quang village, Tan Lap commune (formerly Duc Trong district), within the Song Phan section. The victim was thrown and died at the scene.

The victim was identified as a 34-year-old railway track worker residing in Tan Lap commune.

Authorities in Lam Dong province investigated the scene and requested an autopsy to determine the cause of the accident. Following the completion of procedures, train SE2 resumed its journey, and the incident did not disrupt traffic on the north-south line.
