On the morning of 7/8, a relative brought the girl to the Gia Khang swimming pool in Duc Phong village, Bu Dang commune (formerly Binh Phuoc province) to swim. Shortly after, the relative left due to other commitments, entrusting the children to the pool staff.

Upon returning at noon and not finding the girl, the relative raised the alarm and began a search, discovering the girl submerged in the pool. She was pulled from the water and given first aid, but tragically, she could not be revived.

The incident occurred at a swimming pool approximately 300 square meters in size, located within the grounds of a cafe. The pool is divided into two sections – one for children and one for adults – separated by a fence. The children's area, equipped with a water slide and spray features, is a popular summer play spot for kids.

Bu Dang commune police are investigating the cause of the incident.
