8th-grade student returns handbag containing over 200 million dong

An 8th-grade student in Long An ward found a handbag containing over 200 million dong and identification documents on her way home from school, then reported it to the police to find the owner.

On 20/4, Lieutenant Colonel Vo Van Het, head of Long An Ward Police, announced that the unit had returned a handbag containing over 200 million dong to Tran Quoc Khai, a local resident.

Two days earlier, on her way home from school, Tran Thanh Ngoc, an 8th-grade student at Thong Nhat Secondary School, discovered a black handbag lying on the side of the road and stopped to check it.

Seeing several stacks of money and identification documents inside, Ngoc promptly took the bag to Long An Ward Police to report the find.

Using the information from the documents, the police contacted Khai that same evening and returned all the assets.
