This year's average Tet bonus increased by 13% compared to the previous Lunar New Year.

Giang also reported that the average monthly salary for workers in 2025 reached 9.76 million VND per person. Specifically, employees in state-owned enterprises earned nearly 12.9 million VND, those in private enterprises received 8.6 million VND, and workers in FDI enterprises earned 10.2 million VND. The average worker salary in 2025 saw an 11% increase compared to 2024.
Giang noted that both salary and bonus levels increased compared to 2024, contributing to improved incomes and stronger employee loyalty to businesses. These increases also help reduce the risk of labor turnover.
Earlier, in a dispatch dated 1/2, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh instructed the Chairpersons of People's Committees in provinces and cities to monitor and urge businesses to fully pay salaries and Tet bonuses, preventing any salary arrears or delayed payments at year-end.
The Ministry of Finance was tasked with directing Social Insurance of Vietnam to ensure timely payment of insurance benefits. Additionally, it will combine two months of pensions and social insurance allowances for February and March into the February 2026 payment cycle.
