National Assembly delegates represent the will and aspirations of the people, exercising legislative power, oversight, and deciding important national issues.
Delegates are tasked with fully participating in sessions, discussing, and voting on matters within the National Assembly's jurisdiction. They also engage with constituents, report on their activities, listen to, and convey the people's opinions and recommendations.
These delegates have the right to submit draft laws and ordinances; propose legislation; participate in constitutional amendments; suggest referendums, establish ad hoc committees, and cast votes of no confidence for officials elected or approved by the National Assembly.
Furthermore, National Assembly delegates have the right to question the President, the Chairman of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister, government members, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy, and the State Auditor General.
Additionally, delegates are responsible for receiving and forwarding citizens' complaints and denunciations to the competent authorities, and for monitoring and urging their resolution as prescribed by law.
