National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man was elected in electoral unit number 12 of Ho Chi Minh City. Permanent Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu secured election in electoral unit number 1 of Da Nang City. General Phan Van Giang, the Minister of National Defense, was elected in Thai Nguyen province, and General Luong Tam Quang, the Minister of Public Security, was elected in Hung Yen province.
Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Party Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee, was elected in electoral unit number 10 of Hanoi City. Tran Luu Quang, Party Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, was elected in electoral unit number 6 of Ho Chi Minh City. Le Minh Hung, Head of the Central Organization Commission, was elected in electoral unit number 1 of Hai Phong City. Tran Duc Thang, Minister of Agriculture and Environment, secured election in electoral unit number 3 of Can Tho City. Le Hoai Trung, Minister of Foreign Affairs, was elected in electoral unit number 4 of Hue City.
Bui Thi Minh Hoai, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front, was elected in Phu Tho province. Do Van Chien, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, secured election in Bac Ninh province. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission, was elected in Dak Lak province. Le Minh Tri, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, was elected in Dong Nai province. Pham Gia Tuc, Chief of the Central Party Office, was elected in Ha Tinh province.
Tran Sy Thanh, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission, was elected in Lang Son province. Doan Minh Huan, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, secured election in Nghe An province. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, was elected in Tay Ninh province. Trinh Van Quyet, Head of the Central Commission for Propaganda and Education and Mass Mobilization, was elected in Tuyen Quang province.
Within the Secretariat bloc, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan was elected in An Giang province. Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra secured election in Lao Cai province. Nguyen Van Quang, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, was elected in Lam Dong province.
