National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man was elected in electoral unit number 12 of Ho Chi Minh City. Permanent Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu secured election in electoral unit number 1 of Da Nang City. General Phan Van Giang, the Minister of National Defense, was elected in Thai Nguyen province, and General Luong Tam Quang, the Minister of Public Security, was elected in Hung Yen province.

Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Party Secretary of the Hanoi City Party Committee, was elected in electoral unit number 10 of Hanoi City. Tran Luu Quang, Party Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, was elected in electoral unit number 6 of Ho Chi Minh City. Le Minh Hung, Head of the Central Organization Commission, was elected in electoral unit number 1 of Hai Phong City.
