Over 20 workers and various equipment were mobilized to work overnight. The repairs included scraping off the damaged asphalt, then resurfacing with a 7-16 cm layer of asphalt concrete mixed with anti-rutting additives. Potholes and severe cracks were also addressed to ensure a smooth road surface.
Le Xuan Tien, Deputy Director of Construction Joint Stock Company 676, stated that the repairs are expected to last 10 days. As this is a major route connecting Lam Dong province with Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City, experiencing high traffic volume, the company chose to work at night, from 10 PM to 9 AM the following day, to minimize traffic disruption.
A representative from the Bao Loc pass traffic police station said that during construction, traffic control at the work sites is managed by the contractor. When traffic volume increases and causes congestion, traffic police will assist to ensure smooth traffic flow.
