Le Dinh Quyet, head of the Southern Hydrometeorological Station's forecast department, stated that Ho Chi Minh City and the southern region would continue to cool from tomorrow due to cold air spreading from the North. The city's temperature is expected to fall to 20°C and persist for several days. Some areas in the former Binh Duong province could see temperatures of 18-19°C.
"The recorded temperatures are station readings, but the perceived outdoor temperature could be 2-3°C lower," Quyet explained. He added that another cold air mass would arrive in early December, ensuring low temperatures in Ho Chi Minh City would continue until 6/12.
Last year, Ho Chi Minh City experienced its lowest annual temperature, 21°C, near Christmas. In 2023, however, the city had an unusually warm Christmas due to minimal impact from cold air. That year also recorded the highest temperatures in a decade.
