Collision between 16-seater van and sleeper bus leaves one dead

A 16-seater van collided head-on with a sleeper bus on National Highway 1A in Cai Kinh commune, leaving one dead and five injured.

Around 5h on 27/2, a 16-seater van with a Hanoi license plate was traveling on National Highway 1A from Lang Son to Hanoi when it collided with a sleeper bus coming from the opposite direction in Cai Kinh commune.

As a result, one person in the 16-seater van died at the scene, and five others were injured and taken to the emergency room. The cabin of the 16-seater van was completely deformed, with debris scattered across the road. The sleeper bus crashed into a line of trees along the roadside.

Linh Van Diep, Vice Chairman of the Cai Kinh commune People's Committee, stated that passengers on the sleeper bus were not injured. After the accident, many people from both vehicles left the scene, so authorities are currently compiling a list of those involved.

The section of National Highway 1A where the accident occurred has two lanes, is over 10 meters wide, and is relatively straight. At the time of the incident, the area experienced fog.
