Speaking at an online conference on election work on the morning of 26/2, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, who also chairs the National Election Council, affirmed that preparations have been implemented promptly, systematically, and thoroughly.
He directed central and local agencies to conduct voting and vote counting strictly and objectively, announcing results within the legal timeframe, by 25/3 at the latest. "The stricter the process and the earlier the results are announced, the better," he stated. Man noted that the 16th National Assembly's first session is expected to commence on 6/4. The National Assembly Standing Committee is currently preparing for personnel matters and important laws and resolutions to be presented at the session.
The National Assembly Chairman emphasized that a successful election will provide a strong foundation for building and consolidating the State apparatus for the new term and for implementing the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress.
He urged agencies and localities to ensure transparency, democracy, and fairness throughout every preparatory stage. The election campaign process must be effectively managed to select candidates who meet all necessary conditions and standards. Relevant authorities must also fully prepare plans to ensure security, order, healthcare, and safety for the election.
Localities are required to organize voter outreach conferences effectively, ensuring democracy, equality, and adherence to the law. They must also accurately review voter lists to prevent any errors that could infringe on voting rights.

According to National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, candidate personnel work has been meticulously prepared, ensuring standards, a reasonable structure, and a focus on quality. The application of information technology is being accelerated. The Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of National Defense, and Viettel Group are collaborating to ensure political security and public order.
With 17 days remaining until election day, Man highlighted that some localities still face challenges due to administrative unit reorganization. He also noted that information technology software remains unstable and propaganda efforts in ethnic minority regions are limited. He requested the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and the Ministry of Home Affairs to closely inspect election units, review the printing of ballots, especially candidate biographies and action programs, as well as ballot papers and seals, to prevent any errors.
A government report indicates that localities have completed compiling and posting voter lists. Based on data from the VNeID system and the National Population Database, commune-level police are ensuring that voter lists are accurate, complete, free of duplicates, and include all eligible voters.
The total number of voters is 73.46 million people. Commune-level police have handed over lists for each polling area. Cases with ongoing changes continue to be categorized by polling area.
Localities are developing plans to facilitate voting for sick, elderly, and disabled voters; those receiving treatment at medical facilities; individuals in temporary detention; and students and workers in industrial zones. Auxiliary ballot boxes and mobile voting are being prepared as needed to ensure citizens' right to vote.
Local police are also issuing electronic certificates via the VNeID platform, allowing voters to cast ballots in other locations, thereby making the process more convenient for citizens.
