The Ministry of Construction has approved toll collection rates for five state-invested expressways, following a proposal from the Vietnam Road Administration. The five expressways include: Mai Son - National Highway 45, National Highway 45 - Nghi Son, Nghi Son - Dien Chau, Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet, and Phan Thiet - Dau Giay.
Below is the toll schedule for each expressway (unit: VND):
| Vehicle group (maximum toll for each group) | Mai Son - National Highway 45 (over 60 km) | National Highway 45 - Nghi Son (over 45 km) | Nghi Son - Dien Chau (over 50 km) | Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet (over 100 km) | Phan Thiet - Dau Giay (99 km) |
| Group one (vehicles with fewer than 12 seats, trucks under two tons, public passenger buses) | 54.909 | 40.516 | 45.405 | 90.555 | 128.700 |
| Group two (vehicles with 12-30 seats, trucks from two to under four tons) | 82.364 | 60.775 | 68.108 | 135.834 | 193.050 |
| Group three (vehicles with 31 seats or more, trucks from four to under 10 tons) | 109.781 | 81.032 | 90.810 | 181.113 | 257.400 |
| Group 4 (trucks from 10 to under 18 tons and containers under 40 feet) | 137.273 | 101.354 | 113.513 | 226.391 | 321.750 |
| Group 5 (trucks from 18 tons or more, 40-foot containers or more) | 219.636 | 162.065 | 181.620 | 362.225 | 518.800 |
According to the approved toll schedule, four projects—Mai Son - National Highway 45, National Highway 45 - Nghi Son, Nghi Son - Dien Chau, and Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet—feature four lanes with intermittent emergency stopping lanes. As they do not fully meet the requirements of the Road Law, their minimum toll rate is 900 VND per km.
The Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway, however, fully meets the conditions for toll collection, resulting in a minimum toll of 1,300 VND per km. This is the longest route, so the toll for group one vehicles traveling the entire route is 128,700 VND, and for group 5 vehicles, it is 518,800 VND.

Under the Road Traffic Infrastructure Asset Exploitation Project approved by the Ministry of Construction, the five expressway projects will collect tolls for seven years. The Vietnam Road Administration is tasked with organizing toll collection. After this period, the managing authority will evaluate other options for infrastructure exploitation and management.
Previously, from 13/1, the non-stop electronic toll collection (ETC) system on the five North-South expressways began trial operations, with toll collection expected to commence by the end of February.
