Tam Thanh Station, a level three civil engineering work, recently opened in Tay Ho commune, Da Nang, on the North-South railway line. Following a decision signed by the Minister of Construction, the station is now fully operational. It is designed to receive passenger and freight trains, facilitate train passing and overtaking, and provide essential transport support services.
The station features three tracks for receiving and dispatching trains: main track 2, 508 meters long, and two station tracks, 1 and 3, each 477 meters long. The station building spans 375 square meters, complemented by a 285-square-meter staff accommodation facility for transport, track, and signal personnel.

Vietnam Railways Corporation is responsible for managing and operating Tam Thanh Station, having received the project handover from Project Management Board 85. The corporation will manage the station according to its design functions and operational plans, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Tam Thanh Station is part of package 8 of a larger project aimed at reinforcing weak tunnels, establishing new stations, and upgrading the upper infrastructure layer of the Vinh - Nha Trang section of the North-South railway line. The project, which involved a total investment of 276 billion VND, commenced construction in 2021. Although initially slated for completion in 2023, the project experienced delays and only recently completed construction and began operations.
