This street section is home to several long-standing brands familiar to Hanoi residents and tourists, notably Pho Thin and Lam Hung photo studio. Some tourists who visited the pho restaurant yesterday were surprised to see Pho Thin's new address displayed on the construction site's fence and on a billboard introducing the project.

The project is structured into two phases. In phase 1, the investor will provide compensation, support, and resettlement for landowners and homeowners within the 2,14-hectare area to implement the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) project east of Ho Guom Lake.
For phase 2, the investor will develop the planning and organize the underground space east of Ho Guom Lake, which will include approximately three basement levels. This underground area will connect to C9 station of urban railway line 2, Nam Thang Long - Tran Hung Dao route, and will incorporate suitable technical solutions for preserving heritage structures during basement construction.
Alongside the planning and renovation of the Ho Guom Lake east area into a square and park, Hanoi City is also developing a separate urban design project for the north Ho Guom area and the south of the Old Quarter, primarily focusing on Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square. As part of this, the "Shark's Fin" building has already been demolished to expand public space.
