"Due to the prolonged and fierce war, the remains have not been identified by name or hometown. Wherever they may be from, we ask the souls of these martyrs to consider Dong Nai their homeland, a peaceful resting place", Hoang stated.
On 26/3, Team K72 departed for Cambodia to carry out its mission. After three months of searching, with support from authorities of both nations and local residents, the team exhumed 63 remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who had sacrificed their lives there.
