Around 2:10 PM, Mr. The was driving a truck carrying rubber sap from Dak Cam ward towards Sa Binh commune (former Kon Tum province). As he approached a curve in Ngok Bay commune, his vehicle collided with another truck driven by Duong Van Cuong, traveling in the opposite direction.

The impact crushed the front of Mr. The's truck, trapping him inside. Bystanders attempted to pry open the door with basic tools, but the two trucks were wedged together, hindering rescue efforts.

Ngok Bay commune authorities arrived at the scene and used a tow truck to separate the vehicles, creating space to access the cabin.

Rescue personnel used specialized equipment to create an opening into the wreckage. After more than 10 minutes, Mr. The was extracted, injured, and transported to Kon Tum Provincial General Hospital.
