A fire broke out at a 100 square meter vegetarian eatery on Pham Dang Giang street, approximately 500 meters from Go May toll booth, around 22h on the evening of 24/3. A 48-year-old mother and her 10-year-old child were sleeping inside at the back of the establishment. Nearby residents attempted to extinguish the blaze with mini fire extinguishers but were unsuccessful, and within minutes, the fire engulfed the restaurant.

Numerous fire trucks and dozens of firefighters swiftly responded to the scene. Firefighters used hoses to douse the flames and prevent further spread. After firefighters brought the blaze under control, authorities entered the sleeping area and discovered the mother and child deceased. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.

A representative from the Binh Hung Hoa Ward People's Committee stated that only two individuals were inside the house when the incident occurred. The unit is currently preparing plans to support the family with funeral arrangements.
