Fire at a beauty salon in Ho Chi Minh City

Smoke and flames erupted from the basement of a beauty salon on Nguyen Dinh Chieu street, formerly District 3, causing many people to flee on the afternoon of 29/11.

A fire broke out at a 6-story beauty salon in Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of 29/11, forcing over ten staff and customers to evacuate. The blaze, which originated in the basement parking area of the facility on Nguyen Dinh Chieu street, Ban Co ward, prompted a rapid response from emergency services.

The incident began around 4:30 PM when flames erupted from the motorbike parking section of the over 100 sqm building. Security personnel and others attempted to extinguish the fire but were unsuccessful. They quickly alerted staff and clients on upper floors, guiding them down the stairwell to safety. Within minutes, thick black smoke and intense flames billowed from the basement.

Hung, a resident living near the scene, reported hearing an explosion, suggesting the fire might have ignited a motorbike in the basement. He noted that many inside managed to escape quickly before the smoke became overwhelming. "Some people coughed heavily but were safe," Hung added.

Over 20 firefighters arrived with multiple fire trucks. They formed two teams: one descended into the basement to combat the flames, while the other used ladders to access upper floors, searching for any potential trapped individuals.
