Fire at Hanoi Beer Factory

Fire erupted from a corner of a two-story administrative building at the Hanoi Beer Factory on Hoang Hoa Tham street, spreading to the entire structure on the morning of 1/12.

The blaze started around 6h on 1/12, on the second floor of the administrative building at the Hanoi Beer Factory, located at 183 Hoang Hoa Tham street, Ngoc Ha ward. Within 30 minutes, the entire second floor was engulfed in intense flames, with several small explosions reported. Sparks and plastic fragments from the fire landed on nearby residential homes in alley 173 Hoang Hoa Tham, igniting some electrical wires.

Firefighters arrived within 10 minutes of the fire's start, deploying 5 fire trucks. Utilizing a wide yard in front of the burning building, police personnel sprayed water upwards to suppress the flames before gradually accessing the second floor.

By 9h, firefighters brought the fire under control, though smoke continued to rise from the site. The incident occurred during rush hour, causing localized traffic congestion in the area and on nearby streets such as Thuy Khue and Nguyen Dinh Thi.

No human casualties were reported in the incident.
