Around 3 am, a fire broke out inside a lodging house with more than four rooms, located in an alley on Nguyen Thi Thoi street, Tan Thoi Hiep ward. Many neighbors discovered the incident and called out to each other to extinguish the flames, but they were unsuccessful.

The fierce blaze quickly engulfed multiple rooms, trapping many residents who cried for help. Firefighters swiftly mobilized several fire trucks and more than ten personnel to the scene.

During the firefighting and rescue efforts, authorities discovered two people dead in one of the rooms. Five others, suffering from burns and smoke inhalation, were taken to the hospital.
