Around 6:00 PM, the kitchen of a roughly 200 square-meter eatery on Xom Con street suddenly caught fire. A person present at the restaurant recounted hearing a loud explosion from the kitchen, followed by smoke and flames.
"Everyone shouted to run outside, and staff quickly pulled tables, chairs, and documents out of the restaurant," the witness stated.

The fire continuously flared with large flames, extending from the one to the two floor, alarming many outside. In just about 5 minutes, the blaze spread throughout the entire kitchen, with thick smoke rising high. Restaurant staff moved some tables, chairs, and important items to a safe area.
The Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Police of Khanh Hoa Province deployed several specialized vehicles and dozens of officers to the scene. Firefighters divided into multiple teams, using hoses to approach from various directions to control the blaze.

By 6:45 PM, the fire was extinguished. Much property near the kitchen area was incinerated, with no casualties reported.
According to the owner, the fire occurred before peak hours. "A malfunction in the kitchen's gas system might have caused the fire to erupt intensely," he said.
Authorities are currently assessing the damage and investigating the cause.
