A fire erupted around 11:35 PM from a food and drink kiosk within My Dinh market, located on Tran Binh street in Tu Liem ward. The kiosk, constructed with brick walls and a corrugated iron roof, caught fire just as the local fire prevention team was on patrol. They promptly began initial firefighting and alerted authorities.
The Hanoi City Police Command Center dispatched four fire trucks and nearly 30 officers from Firefighting and Rescue Teams Zone 16 and 2. Firefighters reached the scene within three minutes of the report.
The kiosk, which sold food, was secured by a rolling door and contained numerous flammable materials. These materials generated toxic smoke and threatened to spread the fire to adjacent kiosks. Fire command deployed two teams: one to cool the area and prevent the fire from spreading, and the other to use specialized equipment to breach the rolling door, access the fire's origin, and search for potential victims.
The blaze was extinguished by 11:50 PM, successfully preventing any spread.
