Five boys caught in Phan Ri beach accident

A group of five boys went swimming at Phan Ri Cua commune beach, resulting in two deaths by drowning on the afternoon of 27/9.

Around 3:30 PM, a group of five boys went for a swim at Minh Tan 2 hamlet, Phan Ri Cua commune. While in the water, the group was swept away by waves, leaving them struggling.

Nearby swimmers noticed their distress, called for help, and managed to rescue three of the boys, bringing them safely to shore. The remaining two boys, whose identities are not yet known, died.

Initial reports from authorities indicate the boys involved were aged between 7 and 11 years old. All resided in Phan Hoa hamlet, Bac Binh commune, approximately 5 km from the scene.

Phan Ri Cua Commune Police are currently coordinating with relevant forces to verify the identities of the deceased and investigate the exact cause of the incident.
