The Hue City Party Standing Committee assessed that during his tenure as deputy chief procurator of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Procuracy (now Hue City People's Procuracy), Tran Nhon Vuong lacked self-cultivation and training, leading to political, ethical, and lifestyle degradation. He seriously violated Party regulations and state laws on anti-corruption and negativity. Consequently, the Investigation Agency of the Supreme People's Procuracy initiated criminal proceedings against him, charged him as a defendant, and imposed a travel ban from his place of residence. Vuong's violations severely damaged his personal reputation, negatively impacted the prestige of the Party organization, agency, and unit, ultimately rendering him unfit to be a Party member.
In 11/2025, the Supreme People's Procuracy prosecuted Tran Nhon Vuong for investigation into bribery. Previously, Ms. Thai Thi Hong Van, deputy chief judge of the Civil Court of Hue City People's Court, was also prosecuted for bribery in connection with the same case. In 3/2026, the Hue City Party Inspection Committee decided to expel Ms. Thai Thi Hong Van from the Party.
