Around 4:40 AM on 8/2, two trucks and two passenger cars traveling northbound on the Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway were involved in a multi-vehicle collision in Khanh Vinh commune. The accident left one person seriously injured.

The collision left the vehicles heavily damaged, with one passenger car's front end severely deformed. A male driver sustained multiple injuries and was hospitalized. The incident resulted in a traffic jam stretching over one km. Police responded to investigate the scene and opened an emergency U-turn on the expressway to manage traffic flow.

The Van Phong - Nha Trang expressway spans 83 km and involved an investment of nearly 12,000 billion VND. This four-lane route, with a speed limit of 90 km/h, significantly reduces travel time, alleviates congestion on National Highway 1, and seamlessly connects to the North-South Eastern Expressway network. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
