Groundbreaking and inauguration of 232 projects to celebrate the 14th congress

The country is expected to simultaneously break ground on and inaugurate 232 projects and works with a total capital of over 1.1 million billion VND to celebrate the 14th national party congress.

The Ministry of Construction announced on the morning of 1/12 that 232 projects across 34 provinces and cities are ready for groundbreaking and inauguration to mark the 14th National Party Congress. During a meeting with Vice Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, the ministry reported that these projects, compiled from various ministries, localities, corporations, and general companies, include 149 slated for groundbreaking and 83 for inauguration.

To highlight these initiatives, the Ministry of Construction proposed establishing 79 live and online broadcast points at key projects. Of these, 34 points are expected to host leaders from the Party, State, National Assembly, Fatherland Front, Government, and various ministries.

During the meeting, Vice Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized the need for a thorough review to select projects of national importance and socio-economic significance. He stressed that preparations should be concise yet effectively convey the projects' scope, avoiding a fragmented approach.

This event coincides with the five-year review of national strategic tasks, particularly advancements in infrastructure, socio-economic development, education, healthcare, national defense, and security, alongside celebrating the 14th National Party Congress. Vice Prime Minister Ha tasked the Ministry of Construction with promptly preparing a report to assess achievements, challenges overcome, and lessons for the upcoming period.

Vice Prime Minister Ha stressed the importance of selecting exemplary projects as central broadcast points to ensure broad and comprehensive sectoral representation, showcasing the efforts of ministries and localities in socio-economic development. All agencies are mandated to finalize groundbreaking and inauguration preparations before 19/12.

This initiative follows a similar event on 19/8, when the Government simultaneously launched and inaugurated 250 projects across 34 provinces and cities. Valued at approximately 1.28 million billion VND, that event commemorated the 80th National Day, with 80 key projects in infrastructure, healthcare, education, social welfare, national defense, and security chosen as central broadcast points.
