According to Hanoi Metro (Hanoi Railway One Member Limited Company), this adjustment aims to better meet the increasing passenger demand during morning, afternoon, and evening peak hours, thereby optimizing the urban railway's transport capacity.
In 2025, Hanoi Metro operated 162,000 train trips on the Cat Linh - Ha Dong and Nhon - Hanoi Station (elevated section) lines, serving over 20,6 million passengers and generating nearly 143 billion VND in ticket revenue. This figure exceeded the plan by over 28%. Specifically, the Cat Linh - Ha Dong line recorded nearly 98 billion VND in ticket revenue, an increase of approximately 29% compared to 2024.
The company, which operates two urban railway lines in Hanoi, maintained profitability for four consecutive years, achieving a post-tax profit of nearly 22,7 billion VND in 2025. This profit also represents a 47% increase from the previous year. The company contributed 16,5 billion VND to the state budget last year.
