The Hanoi Department of Construction announced that the median strip of O Cho Dua road, specifically from house number 34 to 80, will be trimmed. This section will continue to operate with two-way traffic, separated by a median strip consistent with the entire route.
However, the road width will increase to three lanes in each direction, clearly divided by road markings according to current standards. This expansion aims to significantly improve traffic flow in the area.
Before October 4, the City Technical Infrastructure Management Center will complete the relocation of trees, lighting, drainage, and shared technical infrastructure systems from the median strip area. This preparatory work is crucial for the road widening project.

The Hanoi Department of Construction has instructed construction units to install adequate barriers, construction signs, reflective tape, signal lights, and personnel to direct traffic from a distance. This measure is intended to prevent localized congestion during the construction period.
The Traffic Police Department and the O Cho Dua Ward People's Committee will coordinate traffic regulation, particularly at turning points. They will also inspect and address the illegal occupation of sidewalks and roadways for business or parking around the intersection.
O Cho Dua road is part of Ring Road 1, spanning 547 meters from the O Cho Dua six-way intersection to its junction with Hoang Cau street. The widening project is a key initiative to enhance urban infrastructure.
