House fire in central Da Lat

Smoke billowed from the basement of a musical instrument shop on Truong Cong Dinh street, Xuan Huong ward, Da Lat, engulfing the area as a fire broke out on the afternoon of 9/7.

Around 1:20 p.m., a fire erupted in the basement of a two-story house, about 4 meters wide, located at 49C Truong Cong Dinh. The building, a musical instrument shop, sits in a busy neighborhood about 300 meters from Da Lat Market.

Within minutes, smoke billowed, obscuring the entire facade of the house and engulfing the upper floors. Thick smoke spilled onto the street, limiting visibility, and a strong burning smell spread throughout the surrounding area.

According to witnesses, the fire erupted with a small explosion, and no one was seen evacuating the house. About 10 minutes later, firefighters mobilized 5 vehicles and numerous officers to the scene.

The house's narrow space allowed the fire to spread quickly, and thick smoke made access difficult. Firefighters, wearing fire-resistant gear and gas masks, entered the scene to extinguish the blaze.

A busy section of the street was cordoned off by police to extinguish the fire. *Khanh Huong*

By 3:30 p.m., the fire was extinguished. Authorities have not reported any casualties, and the cause is under investigation.
