Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia, 54, from Ha Noi, holds a doctor of finance and banking and a master of economic policy management. He is a member of the Party Central Committee for the 13th and 14th terms, and a deputy of the 16th National Assembly. Before his election, he served as the secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee.
He previously worked at the State Bank of Vietnam, holding various positions. These included head of the central bank development strategy department, department of banking development strategy; deputy chief inspector; director general of the monetary forecasting and statistics department; and chief inspector and bank supervisor.
In 2016, Mr. Nghia served as assistant to the governor of the State Bank of Vietnam. Subsequently, he became director general of the general economics department, Central Economic Commission. In early 2019, he was appointed deputy head of the Central Economic Commission. In june 2021, the Politburo assigned him to the position of secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee.

The State Audit Office of Vietnam assesses, confirms, concludes, and makes recommendations regarding the management and use of public finance and public assets. It also decides on annual audit plans and reports to the National Assembly before implementation.
This agency organizes the implementation of annual audit plans. It conducts audits at the request of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the President, the Government, and the Prime Minister.
The State Audit Office of Vietnam collaborates with agencies of the National Assembly and the Government. This collaboration involves reviewing state budget estimates, central budget allocation plans, budget allocation for national target programs, important national projects, and state budget settlements.
The previous state auditor general was Mr. Ngo Van Tuan. The current deputy state auditors general include Mr. Doan Anh Tho, Mr. Bui Quoc Dung, Mr. Tran Minh Khuong, and Ms. Ha Thi My Dung.
