An accident on the afternoon of 6/4 saw a 28-seat passenger oto, carrying 16 scallop divers, plunge into a ravine over 10 meters deep near Bau Trang Lake, Binh Thuan. The incident, occurring around 3:30 PM, resulted in four deaths and 10 injuries. The oto, with a Binh Thuan license plate, was traveling on Hoa Thang road from Mui Ne to Phan Ri when it veered off the road at the Hoa Thang intersection and fell into the ravine.

Police immediately cordoned off the scene and collected debris from the accident site. The 10 injured individuals were transported to the communal health center for emergency treatment, while four people died.
The victims were scallop divers returning home after a sea trip. They had boarded the passenger oto at Lagi port for their nearly 150 km journey home when the accident occurred.
