On 3-4/12, heavy rains combined with upstream flood releases resulted in approximately 6,195 homes in Lam Dong being flooded and extensive property damage. The lower reaches of the Cai River near Phan Thiet were the most severely affected, with Ham Thang ward alone reporting 2,800 flooded homes and requiring the complete evacuation of residents. Other areas, including Ham Thuan, Ham Thuan Bac, Luong Son, Ham Liem, Song Luy, Bac Binh, and Hiep Thanh, also saw hundreds to nearly 800 homes deeply inundated.
The floods also damaged over 4,000 hectares of crops, killed or swept away over 4,000 livestock and poultry, and damaged numerous boats.
