Around 8:00 a.m., six buses carrying 110 members of the Lao People's Army traveled over 350 km from Vientiane to Cau Treo International Border Gate in Son Kim 1 commune, the former Huong Son district.
The delegation entered Vietnam to participate in the celebrations, parade, and march commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day in Hanoi.
Among the over 110 Laotian troops participating in the parade, some attended the 80th-anniversary parade of the victory over fascism in Russia, while many are participating for the first time.

Laos is one of the countries sending troops to participate in the parade for National Day this year in Hanoi. This participation holds political, diplomatic, and defense significance, demonstrating Laos' support for Vietnam internationally and its willingness to share important moments.

For almost a month, the soldiers have been training to meet the mission's requirements. A representative of the Lao People's Army noted the training's challenges due to intense heat and occasional heavy rain.

In April, over 100 soldiers and commanders from the Lao People's Army also visited Vietnam to participate in the parade commemorating the 50th anniversary of national reunification in Ho Chi Minh City, at the invitation of the Ministry of National Defense.
A soldier said the Laotian parade formation is now well-rehearsed, and many have memorized Vietnamese patriotic songs like "Marching Under the Military Flag," "Uncle Ho is Marching with Us," and "Selflessly for the People."

In addition to personal belongings, the soldiers also carried military suitcases containing necessary equipment.
About five minutes after arriving at Cau Treo International Border Gate, heavy rain began, and the Laotian personnel quickly boarded the vehicles.

On 2/9, Vietnam will hold a ceremony and parade in Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day. The parade will include ground, mechanized, air, and naval forces. Nearly 16,000 people will participate, comprising 43 marching blocks, 18 stationary blocks, and 14 blocks of military artillery and special forces vehicles from the Army and Police.
Thirteen civilian blocks will represent: the unity of Vietnam's ethnic groups; 54 ethnic groups; war veterans; people's police veterans; workers; farmers; revolutionary press; intellectuals; entrepreneurs; women; overseas Vietnamese; youth; and culture and sports. Starting 20/8, the civilian groups began their second round of training at My Dinh National Stadium before joint rehearsals and the final dress rehearsal with the armed forces.
