Large fire erupts at diaper and tissue manufacturing company

A company specializing in baby diapers, paper, and sanitary pads in Tien Son Industrial Park was engulfed in flames on the evening of 27/11.

A fire erupted at Dai Phat Joint Stock Company, situated on TS3 road in Tien Son Industrial Park, Tu Son ward, around 7:30 p.m. on 27/11. The blaze reportedly began in the cotton workshop, which stores raw materials for sanitary pad production, before spreading to other sections of the facility.

With numerous flammable materials inside, the fire quickly consumed the factory, lighting up the entire area. Several explosions occurred periodically. Fortunately, workers present at the time of the fire evacuated safely.

The Bac Ninh Provincial Police Department's Fire Prevention, Fighting, Rescue, and Salvage Police Unit deployed dozens of personnel, alongside local forces and nearly ten fire trucks, to the scene. By 11 p.m., the fire remained uncontained.

Local authorities reported no casualties. However, much of the factory, with its steel frame and corrugated iron roof spanning thousands of square meters, collapsed.

Established over 10 years ago, Dai Phat Company produces diapers, wet wipes, and toilet paper. In addition to the domestic market, the company exports products to Russia, Cuba, Africa, and Asia.
