Around 9 AM, a male driver was operating a car on a local road, transitioning from National Highway 20 to Ho Xuan Huong street. As the vehicle crossed the railway intersection in Xuan Truong ward, Da Lat, it unexpectedly stalled and stopped directly on the tracks.

At the same moment, a tourist train operating on the Da Lat station - Trai Mat route approached and collided with the car.

According to a Da Lat Station leader, the collision caused damage to the car's exterior, but no one sustained injuries. The train temporarily halted its journey to allow for incident resolution.

Minutes later, the driver met with representatives from the railway sector, and they agreed on a plan to address the aftermath. The tourist train subsequently resumed its scheduled journey, continuing to serve passengers as planned.

The Da Lat - Thap Cham railway, built by the French between 1908 and 1932, spans 84 km. This includes 16 km of cog railway designed to navigate steep terrain.

Currently, only about 7 km of the line, from Da Lat station to Trai Mat, remains operational for tourism purposes. The remaining sections have been inactive for many years.
