Mercedes crashes into parked passenger bus, one person dies

A Mercedes Maybach driving on Bai Chay road, Ha Long City, collided with a passenger bus parked on the roadside, seriously injuring two people, one of whom later died.

Around 1:10 AM on 20/11, a Mercedes Maybach driven by a 25-year-old was traveling on Bai Chay road, in front of Thai Ha Hotel, from Bai Chay Bridge towards Cai Dam roundabout. The vehicle collided heavily with a passenger bus parked on the roadside in the opposite direction.

The force of the collision caused the Mercedes to spin sideways, coming to rest in front of the bus's front. The Mercedes sustained severe damage to its body and front on the driver's side. Two occupants of the Mercedes suffered serious injuries and were rushed to emergency care; however, the rear passenger succumbed to their injuries.

At the time of the accident, the road was relatively empty, well-lit, and the weather was clear. Bai Chay Ward Police are currently coordinating with relevant authorities to investigate the scene and determine the cause of the collision.
