More than 10 motorbikes belonging to workers in Ho Chi Minh City were destroyed by fire on the morning of 13/4. The blaze erupted at a motorbike parking area in Trung My Tay Ward (formerly District 12), reducing over a dozen vehicles to skeletal frames.
Around 9h, smoke and flames were first observed emanating from the motorbike parking area located in the yard of a two-story house on Truong Thi Ngao Street, approximately one km from the An Suong intersection. The house was closed and unoccupied at the time of the incident. Nearby residents quickly responded, attempting to extinguish the fire with mini fire extinguishers, but their efforts proved unsuccessful.
Minutes later, the fire intensified rapidly, engulfing all the parked vehicles. Thick black smoke billowed into the residential area, drawing concern from the community. Residents living near the scene reported that the homeowner regularly provided motorbike parking services for garment workers employed at a nearby workshop.

Fire trucks and over a dozen firefighters swiftly arrived at the scene. They worked efficiently, bringing the blaze under control and extinguishing it in about 10 minutes. The aftermath revealed significant damage: over a dozen motorbikes were completely destroyed, their steel frames scattered across the floor of the parking area. Authorities suspect the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit in one motorbike, which then spread to the other vehicles.
