On 14/11, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee approved the general construction plan for the Mui Ne National Tourist Area, extending to 2040 with a vision to 2050.
The planned development area spans 6,093 hectares in Mui Ne ward, 532 hectares in Phu Thuy ward, 7,165 hectares in Hoa Thang commune, and 970 hectares in Phan Ri Cua commune. It will follow a model of "one coastal corridor - three centers - multi-directional sea access".
The 63 km coastal road, running northeast-southwest from Phan Ri Cua commune (Luy River mouth) to Phu Thuy ward (Phu Hai River mouth), will serve as the coastal corridor and the backbone of the entire area, around which three distinct centers will be formed.

Center one (Phu Thuy and Mui Ne) will focus on commercial and financial services, healthcare, resort tourism, entertainment, and national and international-standard marine sports.
Center two (Hoa Thang) aims to preserve and promote the value of Bau Trang scenic spot and other areas with distinct natural landscapes, such as sand dunes, while developing new tourist attractions.
Center three (Phan Ri Cua) will develop a coastal urban resort area.
An international-level tourist center will be built in conjunction with urban development, driven primarily by tourism activities including: beach tourism, entertainment, sports tourism, resorts, healthcare, hill-forest-sea agricultural ecology, and community cultural tourism.
By 2040, the area is projected to have a population of 300,000 people, attract 25 million tourists, and offer approximately 71,500 accommodation rooms.
Seven years ago, the Prime Minister approved the overall master plan for the development of the Mui Ne National Tourist Area. Subsequently, the Prime Minister assigned the former Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee (now Lam Dong) the task of executing the general construction plan.
