From August 7th to 8th, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, inspected and directed a naval parade rehearsal in preparation for mission A80.
Participating forces include the Navy, Coast Guard, Border Guard, and Military Region 5, with the Navy playing a central role, featuring Kilo 636 submarines, surface vessels, naval aviation, and other specialized units.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia instructed the Navy to lead the formation and execution of the naval parade, ensuring uniformity, visual appeal, and absolute safety. He emphasized the importance of accurate weather forecasting, rigorous radar and communication systems, seamless inter-ship coordination, strict adherence to command vessel instructions, and maintaining prescribed distances, speeds, and positions.
According to the Navy, all units have planned and practiced diligently, ensuring the readiness of weapons, equipment, vessels, and aircraft, even in challenging weather conditions. Despite previous unfavorable weather, forces maintained their training regimen and consistently reviewed performance to address any shortcomings.
