On the afternoon of 16/8, the Hanoi Youth Union held a meeting with volunteers who will be serving during the series of activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.
Nguyen Tien Hung, Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, said the volunteers come from 43 universities, colleges, and communes and wards across Hanoi. They are divided into groups with various responsibilities, including guiding delegates and distributing necessities at the Ba Dinh Square stands; providing necessities to people along the parade route; managing warehouses, allocating and transporting items to distribution points; supporting security, order, and environmental sanitation; and assisting in welcoming delegations from provinces and cities across the country and international guests attending the celebration.
The volunteers participating in the event have been carefully selected for their political and moral qualities, academic achievements, and in some cases, foreign language proficiency and good health.

In addition to receiving uniforms such as shirts, hats, and ID cards, the volunteers at Hang Day Stadium, Trinh Hoai Duc Street, and O Cho Dua Ward also received training in necessary skills such as security and order support, environmental sanitation, evacuation guidance, moving injured people, and basic first aid.
Pham Minh Phuc, Head of the Youth Union and Youth Work Department of the Hanoi Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, said that for the upcoming A80 event, the Hanoi Youth Union has arranged 67 distribution points for necessities, including 26 points providing water for the parade forces and 41 points providing milk, water, and snacks for the public and on-duty personnel. Each supply point has 30-40 volunteers.
On 2/9, Vietnam will hold a ceremony, parade, and march commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi. The parade will include a full range of forces, including ground troops, motorized forces, air, and naval units. The parade will involve around 16,000 people, comprising 43 marching blocks, 18 stationary blocks, and 14 blocks of military and special forces vehicles from the Army and Police.
