The Hai Phong Department of Internal Affairs recently released a report on wages, bonuses, and labor relations, compiling data from nearly 4,300 businesses in the area.
For New Year 2026, the average bonus was 1.13 million VND per person, an increase of approximately 160,000 VND compared to last year. Common New Year bonuses ranged from 300,000 to 3,500,000 VND per person. This relatively modest amount is because most businesses in Hai Phong allocate their primary resources towards the Lunar New Year.
