The over 2-km-long Nhon Trach bridge, part of the 8-km-long Section 1A of the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, connects Provincial Road 25B (Dong Nai) to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway. The route will open to traffic on 19/8, operating from 7 a.m. on 20/8, providing a new connection from Dong Nai to Ho Chi Minh City.

According to My Thuan Project Management Board (Ministry of Construction), during the initial phase, motorcycles can only travel from Provincial Road 25B to Ly Tu Trong street (Dong Nai) and are not permitted to cross the bridge. Cars are allowed, except for trucks exceeding 1.5 tons and passenger vehicles with 16 seats or more, which are prohibited from the entire Section 1A. A toll station will be set up at the intersection with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway when the route officially begins operation.
As Project 1A is completed earlier than other sections of Ring Road 3, this temporary traffic arrangement will be in effect until the end of 2026 when the entire route is completed. At that time, Section 1A will operate as an expressway with 4 lanes for motor vehicles in the core and parallel roads for mixed traffic. The Nhon Trach bridge will have 2 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for mixed traffic, with a median strip.

Started in 9/2022, Project 1A has a total investment of over 6,900 billion VND, including Korean ODA loans (EDCF) and domestic counterpart funds. The project is currently finalizing the remaining components before its opening.
Ring Road 3 spans over 90 km, passing through Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, and Tay Ninh. To date, the 15.3-km section in the former Binh Duong province has been completed. Besides Project 1A, over 76 km are under construction with a total investment of nearly 75,400 billion VND. The route is expected to be completed in 2026, enhancing regional connectivity and promoting socio-economic development in the key southern region.
