Northern Vietnam has experienced rain and thunderstorms in recent days due to a low-pressure trough. Rainfall from 7 PM on 9/7 to 7 AM today ranged from 80-120 mm, with some areas receiving higher amounts, such as Sa Pa (Lao Cai) with 196 mm, Yen Lac (Cao Bang) with 179 mm, Thuong Giap (Tuyen Quang) with 178 mm, and Dong Cuu (Phu Tho) with 172 mm.
The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting stated that the low-pressure trough will continue to cause showers and thunderstorms in northern Vietnam today, with rainfall gradually decreasing tomorrow. From 15/7, a low-pressure area to the west will bring widespread hot weather to the north.
