Northern Vietnam is set to experience continued sunny days and cold nights next week, influenced by a weak cold front. This follows a pattern from last week, which saw clear skies and significantly lower nighttime temperatures due to a persistent cold, dry air mass. The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting indicates that a new cold front arriving tomorrow will maintain these conditions.
Next week, temperatures in the northern midland and mountainous areas will range from a low of 11-13 degrees Celsius, with high mountain regions seeing temperatures drop below 10 degrees Celsius. Delta areas will experience lows of 13-15 degrees Celsius. Daytime temperatures are expected to climb to 24-27 degrees Celsius, accompanied by humidity levels below 50%, leading to dry conditions.

US-based Accuweather forecasts Hanoi's highest temperatures next week will be 24-27 degrees Celsius, with nighttime lows of 12-13 degrees Celsius. In high-altitude areas above 1,500 meters, such as Sa Pa (Lao Cai), temperatures are predicted to be 4-17 degrees Celsius for the first three days of the week, then dropping to a low of 1 degree Celsius by thursday.
Meanwhile, in the central region, the east wind has weakened. However, due to the influence of the strengthening cold front, areas from Hue and Da Nang to eastern Quang Ngai and Gia Lai are expected to receive widespread rainfall of 50-110 mm until 25/11, with some areas exceeding 220 mm. After 25/11, rainfall in this region will gradually decrease.
From Thanh Hoa to Hue, nighttime and morning temperatures will generally be 15-18 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs will remain below 25 degrees Celsius. The Central Highlands and southern region will experience only scattered rain during the first two days of next week, which will then gradually diminish. Daytime high temperatures in the Central Highlands are forecast to be 25-28 degrees Celsius, and in the southern region, 30-33 degrees Celsius.
This upcoming weather pattern follows three cold air spells that impacted northern Vietnam over the past month. Notably, a front on 17/11 brought temperatures down to just above 3 degrees Celsius in Mau Son (Lang Son), 13 degrees Celsius in Hanoi, a general range of 12-15 degrees Celsius across the North Central region, and 16-19 degrees Celsius in Quang Tri and Hue.
