Ta Thi Yen, deputy head of the National Assembly's Committee for Delegate Affairs, stated that election work nationwide is proceeding urgently, seriously, and in accordance with regulations.
To date, 380 communes, wards, and polling areas have completed voting with 100% voter turnout, primarily in armed forces units and some highland areas. According to Yen, this outcome demonstrates the voters' interest and sense of responsibility towards their civic rights and duties on election day.
The entire country has nearly 79 million voters, who are electing 500 deputies for the 16th National Assembly from a total of 864 candidates, and also electing members for the new term of people's councils at all levels.
