On the morning of 15/3, General Secretary To Lam, along with Standing Secretary of the Party Central Committee Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Le Minh Tri, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Pham Gia Tuc, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc, and many other Party and State leaders, arrived at polling station number 2, Ba Dinh ward, Hanoi, to participate in the election.
At 7:15, the General Secretary cast his ballot. He expressed excitement at exercising his voting right at his place of residence and witnessing many people arriving early at the polling station, participating in the election with a sense of responsibility.
According to the General Secretary, the election aims to select individuals trusted by the people, representing the will and aspirations of voters, to participate in deciding important national issues. He noted that election preparations had been carried out early, ensuring that voters in all circumstances could exercise their direct democratic rights through their ballots.

The Party leader emphasized that the election takes place after Vietnam successfully organized the 14th Party Congress. National development policies and orientations for the new term have been widely disseminated and received support from cadres, Party members, and the people.
"The goal is to develop the country, ensure sovereignty, territorial integrity, maintain stability, and improve people's lives. This is also the aspiration of the people when choosing worthy representatives for the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels," the General Secretary said.
At the polling station in Hoc Mon commune, Ho Chi Minh City, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated that the entire political system engaged in preparing for the election with urgency, scientific methodology, and thoroughness. He evaluated that electoral bodies and organizations seriously implemented central guidelines and urged continued monitoring and guidance to ensure a successful election.
The National Assembly Chairman stressed that voting is a sacred right and responsibility of citizens. The election for the 16th National Assembly also holds significance as it coincides with the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's first general election. "I believe that voters nationwide will turn out in full, vote correctly, and sufficiently, choosing talented and virtuous individuals worthy of serving as delegates to the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels," he said.

This morning, voters nationwide are electing 500 delegates to the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. President Luong Cuong cast his vote in Hoan Kiem ward, while Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his spouse voted in Tay Ho ward.
