Around 5 a.m., a Ninh Binh-registered sleeper bus traveling north collided with the rear of a Lam Dong-registered container truck traveling in the same direction near Ha Huy Tap ward, in the former Ha Tinh City.
The impact caused the bus to spin sideways, blocking both lanes of the 17-meter-wide expressway. The bus driver was trapped in the cabin, while dozens of passengers cried out for help.
